CINEMA EYE HONORS: 'BALTIMORE RISING' WINS OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT IN NONFICTION FILM FOR BROADCAST

HBO's Baltimore Rising, directed by Sonja Sohn, won Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Film for Broadcast at the 2019 Cinema Eye Honors. In the wake of Freddie Gray's death, the documentary follows the activists, police officers, community leaders and gang affiliates, who struggle to hold Baltimore together.
